1. 1

   末底改知道所作的这一切事，就撕裂衣服，穿麻衣，蒙灰尘，在城中行走，痛哭哀号。

   当摩迪凯意识到所做的这一切时，他就撕裂衣服，穿着麻衣，蒙着灰尘，在城中行走，并大声痛哭；

   When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;

   到了王门前停住脚步，因为穿麻衣的不能进王门。

   然后到了王的大门前；因为穿麻衣的不能进王的大门。

   到了朝门前停住脚步，因为穿麻衣的不可进朝门。

   And came even before the king's gate: for none might enter into the king's gate clothed with sackcloth.

3. 3

   王的谕旨所到的各省各处，犹太人大大哀恸，禁食哭泣哀号，穿麻衣躺在灰中的很多。

   王的诫命和他的政令来到的各省，各处，犹太人都大大哀悼，并禁食，又哭泣哀号；还有很多穿着麻衣并蒙着灰。

   王的谕旨所到的各省各处，犹大人大大悲哀，禁食哭泣哀号，穿麻衣躺在灰中的甚多。

   And in every province, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

   王后以斯帖的宫女和太监来把这事告诉以斯帖，她极其悲伤，就送衣服给末底改穿，要他脱下麻衣，他却不接受。

   于是以斯帖的侍女和她的内侍来把这事告诉她，然后她极其忧愁；她又送衣服给摩迪凯，要取下他的麻衣；但是他不接受。

   王后以斯帖的宫女和太监来把这事告诉以斯帖，她甚是忧愁，就送衣服给末底改穿，要他脱下麻衣，他却不受。

   So Esther's maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.

5. 5

   以斯帖就把王所派伺候她的一个太监，名叫哈他革召来，命令他去见末底改，要知道这是什么事，为什么会这样。

   然后以斯帖就把王指定伺候她的一个内侍，名叫哈他克召来，给了他一个诫命去见摩迪凯，要知道这是什么事，为什么会这样。

   以斯帖就把王所派伺候她的一个太监，名叫哈他革召来，吩咐他去见末底改，要知道这是什么事，是什么缘故。

   Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king's chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.

6. 6

   于是哈他革出到王门前的街道见末底改。

   所以哈他克就出到王的大门前面的街道见摩迪凯。

   于是哈他革出到朝门前的宽阔处见末底改。

   So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king's gate.

7. 7

   末底改将自己所遇的事，并哈曼为毁灭犹太人应许捐入王库的银数都告诉了他，

   然后摩迪凯把发生在自己身上的事，并哈曼为毁灭犹太人承诺捐入王的宝库的钱数都告诉了他，

   末底改将自己所遇的事，并哈曼为灭绝犹大人应许捐入王库的银数都告诉了他；

   And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king's treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.

   又将所抄写传遍书珊城要毁灭犹太人的旨意交给哈他革，要给以斯帖看，又要给她说明，并吩咐她进去见王，为她的人民在王面前恳切祈求。

   他还把传遍书珊城要毁灭犹太人的政令的文字的拷贝给了哈他克，好把它显给以斯帖，并向她表明，又吩咐她进去见王，为她的人民在王前面请求。

   又将所抄写传遍书珊城要灭绝犹大人的旨意交给哈他革，要给以斯帖看，又要给她说明，并嘱咐她进去见王，为本族的人在王面前恳切祈求。

   Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.

9. 9

   哈他革回来，将末底改的话告诉以斯帖。

   然后哈他克就回来，把摩迪凯的话告诉以斯帖。

   And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.

10. 10

    以斯帖又命令哈他革去见末底改，说，

    以斯帖再次对哈他克说话，让他把诫命给摩迪凯；

    以斯帖就吩咐哈他革去见末底改，说：

    Again Esther spake unto Hatach, and gave him commandment unto Mordecai;

11. 11

    王的一切仆人和各省的人民都知道有一个定例：若不被召，擅入内院见王的，无论男女必被治死，除非王向他伸出金杖，否则不能存活。现在我没有被召进去见王已经三十天了。

    王所有的仆人和各省的人民都知道有一条法律，如果没有被召，就进入内院见王，无论男女都要被处死，除非王向他伸出金杖，他才能活；但我没有被召进去见王已经三十天了。

    “王的一切臣仆和各省的人民都知道有一个定例：若不蒙召，擅入内院见王的，无论男女必被治死；除非王向他伸出金杖，不得存活。现在我没有蒙召进去见王已经三十日了。”

    All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or women, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.

12. 12

    他们就把以斯帖这些话告诉末底改。

    他们就把以斯帖的话语告诉了摩迪凯。

    人就把以斯帖这话告诉末底改。

    And they told to Mordecai Esther's words.

13. 13

    末底改命令人回复以斯帖说，你莫想在王家里强过一切犹太人，得免这祸。

    于是摩迪凯命令去回复以斯帖说，你别想在王家里就强过所有犹太人，使你能逃避。

    末底改托人回复以斯帖说：“你莫想在王宫里强过一切犹大人，得免这祸。

    Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews.

14. 14

    此时你若闭口不言，犹太人必从别处得解脱，蒙拯救，你和你父家必致灭亡。怎知你来到这国，就是为了这样的时候？

    因为如果这时候你不出声，那么会从别的地方给犹太人兴起解脱和拯救；但你和你父亲的家就要被毁灭。谁知道你来到这王国，不是为了这样的一个时候？

    此时你若闭口不言，犹大人必从别处得解脱，蒙拯救；你和你父家必致灭亡。焉知你得了王后的位分不是为现今的机会吗？”

    For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

    以斯帖就吩咐人回报末底改说，

    于是以斯帖就吩咐他们回答摩迪凯说，

    以斯帖就吩咐人回报末底改说：

    Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,

16. 16

    你应当去招聚书珊城所有的犹太人，为我禁食三昼三夜，不吃不喝，我和我的宫女也要这样禁食。然后我违例进去见王，我若死就死吧。

    去把在书珊城里所有的犹太人聚集到一起，你们要为我禁食三天三夜，不吃不喝；我和我的侍女也要这样禁食；然后我会不按照法律进去见王；如果我灭亡就灭亡吧。

    “你当去招聚书珊城所有的犹大人，为我禁食三昼三夜，不吃不喝；我和我的宫女也要这样禁食。然后我违例进去见王，我若死就死吧！”

    Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

17. 17

    于是末底改照以斯帖一切所命令的去行。

    于是摩迪凯就去了，又按照以斯帖命令他的一切去做。

    于是末底改照以斯帖一切所吩咐的去行。

    So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
