   耶和华的话临到毗土珥的儿子约珥。

   主的话来到皮苏尔的儿子约尔这里。

   耶和华的话临到毗土珥的儿子约珥。

   The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.

2. 2

   老年人哪，要听这话；国中的居民哪，都要侧耳而听。在你们的日子，或你们父辈的日子，曾有这样的事吗？

   你们老年人，听这个，你们这土地所有的居民，侧耳。在你们的日子里，或甚至在你们父辈的日子里，有过这样的事吗？

   老年人哪，当听我的话；国中的居民哪，都要侧耳而听。在你们的日子，或你们列祖的日子，曾有这样的事吗？

   Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

3. 3

   你们要将这事传与你的孩子们，你的孩子们要传与他们的孩子们，他们的孩子们要传与另一个世代。

   你们要把它告诉你们的孩子们，并让你们的孩子们告诉他们的孩子们，他们的孩子们又告诉另一个世代。

   你们要将这事传与子，子传与孙，孙传与后代。

   Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.

4. 4

   剪虫剩下的，蝗虫来吃；蝗虫剩下的，蝻子来吃；蝻子剩下的，蚂蚱来吃。

   就是剪虫留下的，蝗虫来吃；蝗虫留下的，蝻子来吃；然后蝻子留下的，毛虫来吃。

   剪虫剩下的，蝗虫来吃；蝗虫剩下的，蝻子来吃；蝻子剩下的，蚂蚱来吃。

   That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.

   酒醉的人哪，要醒来、哭泣；好酒的人哪，都要为新酒哀号，因为从你们的口中断绝了。

   你们醉鬼，醒来，哭泣吧；并且你们所有的饮酒者，因为新酒，哀号吧；因它被从你们的口剪除了。

   酒醉的人哪，要清醒哭泣；好酒的人哪，都要为甜酒哀号，因为从你们的口中断绝了。

   Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.

   有一国又强盛又无数，侵犯我的地；它的牙齿如狮子的牙齿，大牙如巨狮的大牙。

   因有一个国家上来到我的土地上，又强大又无数，他的牙齿是狮子的牙齿，他有一头巨大狮子的脸颊牙齿。

   有一队蝗虫（原文是民）又强盛又无数，侵犯我的地；它的牙齿如狮子的牙齿，大牙如母狮的大牙。

   For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

   它毁坏我的葡萄树，剥了我无花果树的皮，剥尽而丢弃，使枝条露白。

   他已经使我的葡萄藤荒凉，并剥了我无花果树的皮；他把它剥光，并把它丢了；其枝子被变成白色。

   它毁坏我的葡萄树，剥了我无花果树的皮，剥尽而丢弃，使枝条露白。

   He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.

   我的民哪，你当哀号，像童女腰束麻布，为她幼年的丈夫哀号。

   像一个处女束上麻布，为她青年时的丈夫哀号。

   我的民哪，你当哀号，像处女腰束麻布，为幼年的丈夫哀号。

   Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.

9. 9

   素祭和奠祭从耶和华的家中断绝；侍奉耶和华的祭司都悲哀。

   食物祭和饮品祭被从主的家剪除了；祭司们，主的服侍者都哀痛吧。

   素祭和奠祭从耶和华的殿中断绝；侍奉耶和华的祭司都悲哀。

   The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD; the priests, the LORD's ministers, mourn.

10. 10

    田荒凉，地悲哀；因为谷物毁坏，新酒干竭，油也缺乏。

    田野荒凉了，土地哀悼；因谷荒凉了；新酒干枯，油枯竭了。

    田荒凉，地悲哀；因为五谷毁坏，新酒干竭，油也缺乏。

    The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth.

11. 11

    农夫啊，你们要惭愧；修理葡萄园的啊，你们要哀号；因为大麦小麦与田间的庄稼都灭绝了。

    你们农夫啊，你们羞愧吧；你们栽培者啊，你们因大麦和小麦哀号吧；因为田野的收成消亡了。

    农夫啊，你们要惭愧；修理葡萄园的啊，你们要哀号；因为大麦小麦与田间的庄稼都灭绝了。

    Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished.

12. 12

    葡萄树枯干；无花果树衰残。石榴树、棕树、苹果树，连田野一切的树木也都枯干；因为人儿子们的喜乐尽都消灭。

    葡萄藤干枯，无花果树也枯竭；石榴树，还有棕树和苹果树，甚至田野一切的树木，都枯萎了；因为欢喜已从人的儿子们中枯萎。

    葡萄树枯干；无花果树衰残。石榴树、棕树、苹果树，连田野一切的树木也都枯干；众人的喜乐尽都消灭。

    The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

13. 13

    祭司啊，你们当腰束麻布痛哭；伺候祭坛的啊，你们要哀号；侍奉我神的啊，你们要来披上麻布过夜，因为素祭和奠祭从你们神的家中断绝了。

    你们祭司，束上你们自己，哀痛吧；你们坛的服侍者，哀号吧；我神的服侍者们，你们整夜披上麻布；因食物祭和饮品祭被从你们神的家阻止了。

    祭司啊，你们当腰束麻布痛哭；伺候祭坛的啊，你们要哀号；侍奉我　神的啊，你们要来披上麻布过夜，因为素祭和奠祭从你们　神的殿中断绝了。

    Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God.

14. 14

    你们要圣洁禁食的日子，宣告严肃会，招聚长老和国中的一切居民到耶和华你们神的家，向耶和华哀求。

    你们要分别一个断食，呼唤一个严肃的聚会，聚集众长者和土地的所有居民，都到主你们神的家里去，并向主哭喊，

    你们要分定禁食的日子，宣告严肃会，招聚长老和国中的一切居民到耶和华你们　神的殿，向耶和华哀求。

    Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,

15. 15

    灾难！耶和华的日子临近了。这一天来到，好像毁灭从全能者来到。

    唉，因这日子！因主的日子已在手边了，它会到来，就像一个来自全能者的毁灭。

    哀哉！耶和华的日子临近了。这日来到，好像毁灭从全能者来到。

    Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

16. 16

    粮食不是在我们眼前断绝了吗？欢喜快乐不是从我们神的家中止息了吗？

    难道食物不是在我们眼前剪除了，是的，欢喜和高兴不是从我们神的家剪除了吗？

    粮食不是在我们眼前断绝了吗？欢喜快乐不是从我们　神的殿中止息了吗？

    Is not the meat cut off before our eyes, yea, joy and gladness from the house of our God?

17. 17

    谷种在土块下朽烂；仓也荒凉，廪也破坏；因为谷物枯干了。

    种子在它们的土块下腐烂，众谷仓荒凉，众粮仓破烂；因谷枯萎了。

    谷种在土块下朽烂；仓也荒凉，廪也破坏；因为五谷枯干了。

    The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.

18. 18

    牲畜哀鸣；牛群混乱，因为没有草场；羊群也变为荒凉。

    兽群如何呻吟！牛群被混乱，因为它们没有草场；是的，羊群也变成了荒凉。

    牲畜哀鸣；牛群混乱，因为无草；羊群也受了困苦。

    How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.

19. 19

    耶和华啊，我向你求告，因为火吞灭旷野的草场；火焰烧尽田野的树木。

    主啊，我要向你哭喊；因火已吞灭了荒野的众草场，并且火焰已烧了田野所有的树木。

    耶和华啊，我向你求告，因为火烧灭旷野的草场；火焰烧尽田野的树木。

    O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.

20. 20

    田野的走兽向你哀鸣；因为河水干涸，火也吞灭旷野的草场。

    田野的兽也向你哭喊；因江河的众水都干枯了，并且火已吞灭了荒野的众草场。

    田野的走兽向你发喘；因为溪水干涸，火也烧灭旷野的草场。

    The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
