1. 1

   非利士人与以色列人争战。以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波山有被杀仆倒的。

   菲利士人攻打以色列；以色列众人从菲利士人面前逃跑，并且被杀仆倒在基伯阿山里。

   Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.

2. 2

   非利士人紧追扫罗和他儿子们，就杀了扫罗的儿子约拿单、亚比拿达、麦基舒亚。

   菲利士人紧追扫尔和他众子；就杀了扫尔的众子约拿森，阿比拿达布，梅尔基书亚。

   非利士人紧追扫罗和他儿子们，就杀了扫罗的儿子约拿单、亚比拿达、麦基舒亚。

   And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Melchishua, Saul's sons.

3. 3

   战斗非常激烈，扫罗被弓箭手射中，伤得很重，

   针对扫尔的战斗非常激烈，他被弓箭手射中；伤得非常重。

   势派甚大，扫罗被弓箭手追上，射伤甚重，

   And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was sore wounded of the archers.

4. 4

   就吩咐拿他武器的人说，你拔出剑来，将我刺死，免得那些未受割礼的人来刺我，凌辱我。但拿武器的人很惧怕，不愿意刺他；扫罗就自己伏在剑上死了。

   于是扫尔就对他的护甲者说，拔出你的剑，把我刺透吧；以免这些未被割的人来刺透我，又虐待我。但他的护甲者不愿意，因他很害怕。因此扫尔就拿了一把剑，倒在它上面。

   就吩咐拿他兵器的人说：“你拔出刀来，将我刺死，免得那些未受割礼的人来刺我，凌辱我。”但拿兵器的人甚惧怕，不肯刺他；扫罗就自己伏在刀上死了。

   Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

5. 5

   拿武器的人见扫罗已死，也伏在剑上死了。

   当他的护甲者看到扫尔已经死了，他也同样倒在他的剑上，和他一起死了。

   拿兵器的人见扫罗已死，也伏在刀上死了。

   And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.

   这样，扫罗和他三个儿子，与拿他武器的人，以及跟随他的人，当天都一起死了。

   这样，扫尔和他的三个儿子，他的护甲者，以及他所有的人，那天都一起死了。

   So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.

7. 7

   住谷地那边并约旦河西的以色列人，见以色列军兵逃跑，扫罗和他儿子们都死了，也就弃城逃跑。非利士人便来住在其中。

   当在山谷另一边的以色列众人，和约旦那边的人，见以色列众人逃跑，扫尔和他的众子也都死了，他们就弃城逃跑；菲利士人就来住在其中。

   住平原那边并约旦河西的以色列人，见以色列军兵逃跑，扫罗和他儿子都死了，也就弃城逃跑。非利士人便来住在其中。

   And when the men of Israel that were on the other side of the valley, and they that were on the other side Jordan, saw that the men of Israel fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.

8. 8

   次日，非利士人来剥那被杀之人的衣服，看见扫罗和他三个儿子仆倒在基利波山，

   第二天这样发生了，菲利士人来脱被杀者的衣服时，他们就找到了扫尔和他的三个儿子都倒在基伯阿山里。

   次日，非利士人来剥那被杀之人的衣服，看见扫罗和他三个儿子仆倒在基利波山，

   And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his three sons fallen in mount Gilboa.

9. 9

   就割下他的首级，剥了他的军装，送到非利士地的四境，报信到他们偶像的家里和众民那里；

   他们就割下他的头，脱了他的盔甲，送到菲利士人的土地的周围，要在他们众偶像的家里和人民当中公布它。

   就割下他的首级，剥了他的军装，打发人到（或译：送到）非利士地的四境，报信与他们庙里的偶像和众民；

   And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to publish it in the house of their idols, and among the people.

10. 10

    又将扫罗的军装放在亚斯他录家里，将他的尸身钉在伯珊的城墙上。

    他们又把他的盔甲放在阿斯塔罗斯家里；并把他的身体钉在贝斯珊的墙上。

    又将扫罗的军装放在亚斯他录庙里，将他的尸身钉在伯·珊的城墙上。

    And they put his armour in the house of Ashtaroth: and they fastened his body to the wall of Bethshan.

11. 11

    基列雅比的居民听见非利士人向扫罗所行的事，

    当雅贝示基拉得的居民听见菲利士人向扫尔做的；

    基列·雅比的居民听见非利士人向扫罗所行的事，

    And when the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead heard of that which the Philistines had done to Saul;

    他们中间所有的勇士就起身，走了一夜，将扫罗和他儿子的尸身从伯珊城墙上取下来，送到雅比那里，用火烧了；

    所有的勇士就起来，走了一整夜，把扫尔的身体和他众子的身体从贝斯珊的墙上取下来，又来到雅贝示，就在那里用火烧了他们。

    他们中间所有的勇士就起身，走了一夜，将扫罗和他儿子的尸身从伯·珊城墙上取下来，送到雅比那里，用火烧了；

    All the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Bethshan, and came to Jabesh, and burnt them there.

13. 13

    将他们骸骨葬在雅比的树下，就禁食七天。

    然后他们把他们的骸骨葬在雅贝示的一棵树下，并断食了七天。

    将他们骸骨葬在雅比的垂丝柳树下，就禁食七日。

    And they took their bones, and buried them under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
