弟兄们，（我现在对明白律法的人说，）你们难道不知道律法统治人是在活着的时候吗？
弟兄们你们不知道，（因我是对知道法律的人说，）只要一个人活着法律就对他有统领权吗？
弟兄们，我现在对明白律法的人说，你们岂不晓得律法管人是在活着的时候吗？
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

就如女人有了丈夫，丈夫还活着，就被律法约束；丈夫若死了，就脱离了她丈夫的律法。
因有丈夫的女人，只要丈夫活着，就被法律与他捆绑在一起；但如果丈夫死了，她就从她丈夫的法律松开了。
就如女人有了丈夫，丈夫还活着，就被律法约束；丈夫若死了，就脱离了丈夫的律法。
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

所以她丈夫活着，她若嫁给别人，便叫淫妇；她丈夫若死了，她就脱离了那律法，虽然嫁给别的男人，也不是淫妇。
所以，如果她丈夫还活着时，她与别的男人结婚，她就会被称为一个淫妇；但如果她丈夫死了，她就脱离了那法律；所以她虽然与别的男人结婚，她也不是淫妇。
所以丈夫活着，她若归于别人，便叫淫妇；丈夫若死了，她就脱离了丈夫的律法，虽然归于别人，也不是淫妇。
So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

我的弟兄们，因此，你们借着基督的身体，向着律法也是死了，叫你们嫁给别人，就是嫁给那从死里复活的，好叫我们向神结果子。
因此，我的弟兄们，你们借着受膏者的身体，也向着法律成为了死的；使你们与别人结婚，就是那从死里复活的，从而我们就能给神产出果子。
我的弟兄们，这样说来，你们藉着基督的身体，在律法上也是死了，叫你们归于别人，就是归于那从死里复活的，叫我们结果子给 神。
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

因为我们在肉体中的时候，那因律法而生的罪行就在我们肢体中发动，以致结出死亡的果子。
因当我们还在肉体里的时候，那些借着法律而来的，众罪的动机就在我们的众肢体里做工作，为要出产果子去向死亡。
因为我们属肉体的时候，那因律法而生的恶欲就在我们肢体中发动，以致结成死亡的果子。
For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

但我们既然在捆我们的律法上死了，现在就脱离了律法，好叫我们借着灵的新样式，而不是字句的旧样式服侍。
但既然我们被困在其中的法律死了，现在我们就被拯救脱离了法律；使我们在灵的新意里服务，并不是在陈旧的字句里服务。
但我们既然在捆我们的律法上死了，现今就脱离了律法，叫我们服侍主，要按着心灵（心灵：或译圣灵）的新样，不按着仪文的旧样。
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

这样，我们可说什么呢？律法是罪吗？绝对不是。若不借着律法，我就不知道什么是罪。除非律法说不要贪恋，我就不知道什么是情欲。
那么我们要说什么？法律是罪吗？神禁止。不是，不借着法律，我就不知道罪；因除非法律说，你不要贪恋，否则我就不知道贪欲。
这样，我们可说什么呢？律法是罪吗？断乎不是！只是非因律法，我就不知何为罪。非律法说“不可起贪心”，我就不知何为贪心。
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

然而罪趁着机会，就借着诫命叫各种的情欲在我里头发动；因为没有律法，罪是死的。
但是罪，借着诫命趁机在我里面造成各样的情欲。因在法律以外罪是死的。
然而，罪趁着机会，就藉着诫命叫诸般的贪心在我里头发动；因为没有律法，罪是死的。
But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

我以前没有律法是活着的；但是诫命来到，罪又活了，我就死了。
因我曾在法律以外是活着的；但当诫命来到时，罪复苏了，我就死了。
我以前没有律法是活着的；但是诫命来到，罪又活了，我就死了。
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

那本来叫人活的诫命，反倒叫我死；
然后那被命定去向生命的诫命，我发现是去向死亡。
那本来叫人活的诫命，反倒叫我死；
And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

因为罪趁着机会，就借着诫命引诱我，并且借着它杀了我。
因罪，借着诫命趁机欺骗我，就借着它杀了我。
因为罪趁着机会，就藉着诫命引诱我，并且杀了我。
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

因此，律法是圣洁的，诫命也是圣洁、公义、良善的。
因此，法律是神圣的，诫命也是神圣的，公正的，美好的。
这样看来，律法是圣洁的，诫命也是圣洁、公义、良善的。
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

既然如此，那良善的是叫我死吗？绝对不是。叫我死的是罪。但罪借着那良善的叫我死，就显出真是罪，叫罪因着诫命更显出是恶极了。
那么是美好的对我造成了死亡吗？神禁止。但是罪，借着那美好的在我里面造成死亡，使它可以显出罪；使罪借着诫命可以成为极其有罪的。
既然如此，那良善的是叫我死吗？断乎不是！叫我死的乃是罪。但罪藉着那良善的叫我死，就显出真是罪，叫罪因着诫命更显出是恶极了。
Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

因为，我们知道律法是属灵的，但我是属肉体的，是已经卖到罪之下了。
因我们知道法律是属灵的；但我是属肉体的，已经卖到罪之下了。
我们原晓得律法是属乎灵的，但我是属乎肉体的，是已经卖给罪了。
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

因为我所作的，我自己不明白；我所愿意的，我并不作；我所恨的，我倒去作。
因我做的，我不认可；因我愿意的，我不去做；但我恨的，我去做。
因为我所做的，我自己不明白；我所愿意的，我并不做；我所恨恶的，我倒去做。
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

若我所作的，是我所不愿意的，我就赞同律法是善的。
那么如果我做我不愿意做的，我就同意法律是美好的。
若我所做的，是我所不愿意的，我就应承律法是善的。
If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
- 17
既是这样，就不是我作的，而是住在我里头的罪作的。
那么，现在这就不再是我做的，而是住在我里面的罪做的。
既是这样，就不是我做的，乃是住在我里头的罪做的。
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
- 18
我也知道，在我里头（就是我肉体之中），没有善居住，因为，立志为善由得我，只是行出来由不得我。
因我知道，在我里面（就是，在我的肉体里），没有住着美好的事；因意愿是和我同在的；但怎么执行美好的事，我却找不到。
我也知道，在我里头，就是我肉体之中，没有良善。因为，立志为善由得我，只是行出来由不得我。
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

因为，我所愿意的善，我反不作；我所不愿意的恶，我倒去作。
因我愿意做的好事，我不去做；但我不愿意的坏事，我却去做。
故此，我所愿意的善，我反不做；我所不愿意的恶，我倒去做。
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

现在，若我去作所不愿意作的，就不是我作的，而是住在我里头的罪作的。
现在，如果我做我不愿意的，这就不再是我做的，而是住在我里面的罪做的。
若我去做所不愿意做的，就不是我做的，乃是住在我里头的罪做的。
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

我发现有一个律，就是我愿意为善的时候，便有恶与我同在。
于是我发现一个法律，就是，当我愿意做好事时，坏事就和我同在。
我觉得有个律，就是我愿意为善的时候，便有恶与我同在。
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
- 22
因为按着我里面的人，我是喜欢神的律；
因我跟随我里面的人，喜悦神的法律；
因为按着我里面的意思（原文是人），我是喜欢 神的律；
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

但我看到肢体中另有个律和我心中的律交战，把我俘虏到那肢体犯罪的律中。
但我看到我的众肢体里有另外的法律，与我心里的法律争战，把我俘虏到那在我肢体里的罪的法律当中。
但我觉得肢体中另有个律和我心中的律交战，把我掳去，叫我附从那肢体中犯罪的律。
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

我真是可怜啊！谁能救我脱离这取死的身体呢？
我这可怜的人啊！谁会拯救我脱离这死亡的身体呢？
我真是苦啊！谁能救我脱离这取死的身体呢？
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
- 25
我借着我们的主耶稣基督感谢神。因此，我以心服侍神的律，但肉体却服侍罪的律了。
通过我们的主耶稣受膏者我感谢神。所以，我自己用心思服务神的法律；但用肉体服务罪的法律。
感谢 神，靠着我们的主耶稣基督就能脱离了。这样看来，我以内心顺服 神的律，我肉体却顺服罪的律了。
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
