When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,

(Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)

He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

他必须经过撒玛利亚，

And he must needs go through Samaria.

Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

于是撒玛利亚的女人对他说，你是犹太人，怎么向我一个撒玛利亚女人要喝的？因犹太人和撒玛利亚人没有来往。
撒玛利亚的妇人对他说：“你既是犹太人，怎么向我一个撒玛利亚妇人要水喝呢？”原来犹太人和撒玛利亚人没有来往。
Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

耶稣回答她说，你若认识神的礼物，和对你说给我水喝的是谁，你就会求他，他也会给你活水。
耶稣回答她说，如果你知道神的礼物，和对你说，给我喝的是谁，你已经向他要了，他也已经给你活水了。
耶稣回答说：“你若知道 神的恩赐，和对你说‘给我水喝’的是谁，你必早求他，他也必早给了你活水。”
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

女人对他说，先生，你没有打水的器具，井又深，你从哪里得活水呢？
那女人对他说，先生，你没有东西用来打水，井又深；那么你从哪里有这活水？
妇人说：“先生，没有打水的器具，井又深，你从哪里得活水呢？
The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

我们的父雅各将这井留给我们，他自己和他的儿女并牲畜也都喝这井里的水，难道你比他还大吗？
你比我们的父亲雅克布还伟大吗？他给了我们这井，他自己和他的孩子们并牲畜都喝其中的水。
我们的祖宗雅各将这井留给我们，他自己和儿子并牲畜也都喝这井里的水，难道你比他还大吗？”
Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

耶稣回答她说，凡喝这水的还要再渴；
耶稣回答她说，无论谁喝这水还要再渴；
耶稣回答说：“凡喝这水的还要再渴；
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

人若喝我所给的水就永远不渴。我所给的水要在他里头成为泉源，直涌到永生。
但无论谁喝了我要给他的水就永远不会渴；而我给的水会在他里面成为一口涌出水的井，进入永远的生命。
人若喝我所赐的水就永远不渴。我所赐的水要在他里头成为泉源，直涌到永生。”
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

女人对他说，先生，请把这水给我，叫我不渴，也不用来这里打水。
那女人对他说，先生，给我这水吧，使我不渴，也不用来这里打水。
妇人说：“先生，请把这水赐给我，叫我不渴，也不用来这么远打水。”
The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

耶稣对她说，你去叫你丈夫也到这里来。
耶稣对她说，去，叫你的丈夫，然后来这里。
耶稣说：“你去叫你丈夫也到这里来。”
Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

女人回答说，我没有丈夫。耶稣对她说，你说的对，你没有丈夫。
那女人回答说，我没有丈夫。耶稣对她说，你说的好，我没有丈夫；
妇人说：“我没有丈夫。”耶稣说：“你说没有丈夫是不错的。
The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

因为你已经有过五个丈夫，你现在有的那人并不是你的丈夫。你说的是真的。
因你已经有过五个丈夫；而且你现在有的那人，他不是你的丈夫；对此你说的是真的。
你已经有五个丈夫，你现在有的并不是你的丈夫。你这话是真的。”
For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

女人对他说，先生，我看出你是一个先知。
那女人对他说，先生，我意识到你是一个预言者。
妇人说：“先生，我看出你是先知。
The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
- 20
我们的父辈在这山上敬拜，你们倒说，应当敬拜的地方是在耶路撒冷。
我们的父辈在这山里敬拜；你们说，人们应该敬拜的地方是在耶路撒冷里。
我们的祖宗在这山上礼拜，你们倒说，应当礼拜的地方是在耶路撒冷。”
Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

耶稣对她说，女人，相信我。时候将到，你们敬拜父，也不在这山上，也不在耶路撒冷。
耶稣对她说，女人，相信我，那小时来了，当你们敬拜父亲时，既不在这山里，也不在耶路撒冷。
耶稣说：“妇人，你当信我。时候将到，你们拜父，也不在这山上，也不在耶路撒冷。
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

你们所敬拜的，你们不知道；我们所敬拜的，我们知道，因为拯救是属犹太人的。
你们敬拜的，你们不知道；我们敬拜的，我们知道；因拯救是出于犹太人的。
你们所拜的，你们不知道；我们所拜的，我们知道，因为救恩是从犹太人出来的。
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

时候将到，现在就是了，那真正敬拜父的，要在灵和真理中敬拜他，因为父寻找这样的人敬拜他。
但那小时来了，现在就是，那时真正的敬拜者会在灵里和真理里敬拜父亲；因父亲寻找这样的人去敬拜他。
时候将到，如今就是了，那真正拜父的，要用心灵和诚实拜他，因为父要这样的人拜他。”
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

神是个灵，所以敬拜他的，必须在灵和真理中敬拜他。
神是个灵；那些敬拜他的人必须在灵里和真理里敬拜他。
神是个灵（或无个字），所以拜他的必须用心灵和诚实拜他。
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

女人对他说，我知道那称为基督的弥赛亚要来；他来了，必将一切的事都告诉我们。
那女人对他说，我知道那弥赛亚要来，被叫作受膏者；当他来到时，他要告诉我们所有事情。
妇人说：“我知道弥赛亚（就是那称为基督的）要来；他来了，必将一切的事都告诉我们。”
The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

耶稣对她说，这对你说话的我就是他。
耶稣对她说，我这对你说的就是他。
耶稣说：“这和你说话的就是他！”
Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

这时他的门徒们回来，就惊讶耶稣和这个女人说话；只是没有人说，你在寻找什么？或说，你为什么和她说话？
这时他的门徒们来了，就对他和那女人说话感到奇怪；只是没有人说，你在寻找什么？或说，你为什么与她说话？
当下门徒回来，就希奇耶稣和一个妇人说话；只是没有人说：“你是要什么？”或说：“你为什么和她说话？”
And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

那女人就留下她的水罐子，往城里去，对众人说，
于是那女人就留下她的水壶，并去进了城，对众人说，

The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

来，看一个人，他将我曾经作的一切事都告诉我了，这不是基督吗？
来，看一个人，他把我做过的所有事情都告诉我了；这个不就是那受膏者吗？
“你们来看！有一个人将我素来所行的一切事都给我说出来了，莫非这就是基督吗？”
Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

众人就出城，往他那里去。
于是他们就出城，来到他那里。
众人就出城，往耶稣那里去。
Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
- 31
这其间，他的门徒们对耶稣说，师傅，请吃。
在这其间，他的门徒们请求他，说，师傅，吃吧。
这其间，门徒对耶稣说：“拉比，请吃。”
In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
- 32
但他对他们说，我有食物吃，是你们不知道的。
但他对他们说，我有食物吃，是你们不知道的。
耶稣说：“我有食物吃，是你们不知道的。”
But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
- 33
因此门徒们就彼此说，难道有人拿什么给他吃吗？
因此门徒们就彼此说，有任何人带了什么来给他吃？
门徒就彼此对问说：“莫非有人拿什么给他吃吗？”
Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?

耶稣对他们说，我的食物就是遵行差我来者的旨意，完成他的工。
耶稣对他们说，我的食物就是去做派我来者的意愿，又去完成他的工作。
耶稣说：“我的食物就是遵行差我来者的旨意，做成他的工。
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

你们不是说到收割的时候还有四个月吗？看啊，我对你们说，举目向田观看，它们已经发白，可以收割了。
你们不是说，还有四个月，收成才来吗？看啊，我对你们说，抬起你们的眼睛看田地；因它们已是白色要收获了。
你们岂不说‘到收割的时候还有四个月’吗？我告诉你们，举目向田观看，庄稼已经熟了（原文是发白），可以收割了。
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

收割的人得工价，积蓄五谷到永生，叫撒种的和收割的一起快乐。
收割的人得到报酬，并聚集果子归给永恒的生命；让播种的和收割的可以一起喜乐。

And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

俗语说的是真的：一人撒种，另一人收割，这话是真的。
一个播种，另一个收割，这说法在这里是真的。
俗语说：‘那人撒种，这人收割’，这话可见是真的。
And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.

我差你们去收你们所没有劳碌的；别人劳碌，你们进入他们所劳碌的。
我派你们去收割那你们没有赋予劳动的；别的人们劳动了，然后你们进入到他们的劳动里。
我差你们去收你们所没有劳苦的；别人劳苦，你们享受他们所劳苦的。”
I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

那城里有许多撒玛利亚人信了耶稣，因为那女人作见证说，他把我曾经所行的一切都告诉了我。
那城里的许多撒玛利亚人因为那女人的话信靠了他，她证明说，他把我做过的一切都告诉我了。
那城里有好些撒玛利亚人信了耶稣，因为那妇人作见证说：“他将我素来所行的一切事都给我说出来了。”
And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

因此，撒玛利亚人来见耶稣，求他在他们那里住下，他便在那里住了两天。
所以，当撒玛利亚人来到他那里，他们就恳请他在他们那里停留；他就在那里住了两天。

So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

因他自己的话，更多的人相信了，
并且因他自己的话，更多的人相信了；
因耶稣的话，信的人就更多了，
And many more believed because of his own word;

便对女人说，现在我们相信，不是因为你的话，是我们亲自听见了，知道这真是基督，是世界的拯救者。
然后就对那女人说，现在我们相信，不是因为你的话；因我们亲自听见他了，就知道这确实是那受膏者，是世界的拯救者。
便对妇人说：“现在我们信，不是因为你的话，是我们亲自听见了，知道这真是救世主。”
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.

因为耶稣自己作过见证说，先知在本乡是没有人尊敬的。

For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.

当他到了加利利，加利利人既然看见他在耶路撒冷过节所行的一切事，就接受他，因为他们也是上去过节。
于是当他来到加利利，加利利人看见他在耶路撒冷过节时做的一切事情，就接受了他；因他们也去过节了。

Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.

耶稣又到了加利利的迦拿，就是他从前变水为酒的地方。有一个贵族，他的儿子在迦百农患病。

So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

他听见耶稣从犹太到了加利利，就来见他，求他下去医治他的儿子，因为他儿子快要死了。
当他听见耶稣从犹迪亚出来进入了加利利，他就来到他那里，恳请他下来，医治他的儿子；因为他快要死了。

When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

耶稣就对他说，若不看见迹象和奇事，你们总是不信。
于是耶稣就对他说，除非你们看见迹象和奇事，否则你们就不会信。
耶稣就对他说：“若不看见神迹奇事，你们总是不信。”
Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

那贵族对他说，先生，求你趁着我的孩子还没有死就下去。
那贵族对他说，先生，在我孩子死之前下来吧。
那大臣说：“先生，求你趁着我的孩子还没有死就下去。”
The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

耶稣对他说，回去吧，你的儿子活了。那人信耶稣对他说的话就回去了。
耶稣对他说，你去吧；你的儿子活着。那人信了耶稣对他说的话，然后他就走了。
耶稣对他说：“回去吧，你的儿子活了！”那人信耶稣所说的话就回去了。
Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

正下去的时候，他的仆人们迎见他，告诉他说，你的儿子活了。
就在他下去的时候，他的仆人们遇见他，就告诉他，说，你的儿子活着。
正下去的时候，他的仆人迎见他，说他的儿子活了。
And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.

他就问什么时候见好的。他们对他说，昨天第七小时烧就退了。
于是他就问他们，他是哪个小时开始好转的。他们就对他说，昨天在第七小时烧就离开了他。
他就问什么时候见好的。他们说：“昨日未时热就退了。”
Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

因此，这父亲知道这正是耶稣对他说你儿子活了的时候；他自己和全家就都信了。

So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

这是耶稣行的第二件神迹，是他从犹太回去加利利以后行的。
当耶稣从犹迪亚出来进入加利利时，这个是他做的第二个神迹。

This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.
