When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.

And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples.

Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.

Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?

They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

耶稣回答：我已经告诉你们，我是他。你们若找我，就让这些人走吧。

Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

这要应验他说的话，你所给我的人，我没有失去一个。
是要让他说的话被应验，你给我的人，我没有丢失一个。
这要应验耶稣从前的话，说：“你所赐给我的人，我没有失落一个。”
That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.

西门彼得带着一把剑，就拔出来，砍大祭司的仆人，削掉他的右耳；那仆人名叫马勒古。
于是西门·彼得有一把剑，就拔出来，重击了大祭司的仆人，并砍掉了他的右耳。那仆人的名是马卡斯。

Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

然后耶稣就对彼得说，收剑入鞘吧，我父所给我的那杯，我能不喝吗？
于是耶稣就对彼得说，收起你的剑入鞘吧；我父亲给我的这杯，我不喝它吗？
耶稣就对彼得说：“收刀入鞘吧，我父所给我的那杯，我岂可不喝呢？”
Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

那队人和千夫长，并犹太人的属下就抓住耶稣，把他捆绑了，
于是那队人和军长，并犹太人的众官员就抓了耶稣，又捆绑他，

Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,

And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.

Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.

But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.

那看门的女子对彼得说，你不也是这人的一个门徒吗？他说，我不是。
于是那看门的少女对彼得说，你不是这人的门徒中的一个吗？他说，我不是。
那看门的使女对彼得说：“你不也是这人的门徒吗？”他说：“我不是。”
Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith, I am not.

仆人和属下因为天冷，就生了炭火，站在那里取暖；彼得也和他们一起站着取暖。
众仆人和官员就站在那里，他们用炭生了火，因为天冷；他们要给自己取暖；彼得也和他们一起站着给自己取暖。

And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself.

然后大祭司就问耶稣关于他的众门徒和他的教导。

The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.

耶稣回答他：我是明明地对世界说话。我常在会堂和殿里，就是犹太人常常聚集的地方教导人；我在私下里并没有说什么。
耶稣回答他，我公开对这世界讲话；我一直在会堂和殿里，就是犹太人总是聚集的地方教导；我并没有在隐秘处说什么。
耶稣回答说：“我从来是明明地对世人说话。我常在会堂和殿里，就是犹太人聚集的地方教训人；我在暗地里并没有说什么。
Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.

你为什么问我呢？可以问那听见的人，我对他们说的是什么；看啊，他们知道我所说的。
你为什么问我？问那些听见我的，我对他们说了什么；看啊，他们知道我说了什么。
你为什么问我呢？可以问那听见的人，我对他们说的是什么；我所说的，他们都知道。”
Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.

当他说了这话，旁边站着的一个属下用手掌打耶稣，说，你这样回答大祭司吗？
当他这样说了，站在旁边的一个官员就用手掌打耶稣，说，你就这样回答大祭司？
耶稣说了这话，旁边站着的一个差役用手掌打他，说：“你这样回答大祭司吗？”
And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so?

耶稣回答他：我若说的不是，你可以指证那不是；我若说的是，你为什么打我呢？
耶稣回答他；难道我说了坏话，作了坏见证；但如果说的好，你为什么重击我？
耶稣说：“我若说的不是，你可以指证那不是；我若说的是，你为什么打我呢？”
Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?

亚那就把耶稣捆绑着送到大祭司该亚法那里。
安拿斯就把他捆绑着送到大祭司凯亚法斯那里去了。

Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

西门彼得自己正站着取暖，他们对他说，你不也是他的一个门徒吗？他否认，说，我不是。
西门·彼得站着取暖。因此他们就对他说，你不也是他门徒中的一个？他否认这个，说，我不是。

And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.

One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?

彼得又否认。立时鸡就叫了。
于是彼得再次否认；然后公鸡立刻就叫了。

Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.

众人将耶稣从该亚法那里往审判庭内送去，那时天还早。他们自己却不进审判庭，恐怕染了污秽，不能吃逾越节的宴席。
于是他们领耶稣从凯亚法斯那里到了判决庭；天还早，他们就没有进判决庭，以免他们被污秽；这样他们就可以吃逾越节餐。
众人将耶稣从该亚法那里往衙门内解去，那时天还早。他们自己却不进衙门，恐怕染了污秽，不能吃逾越节的筵席。
Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

彼拉多就出来，到他们那里，说，你们告这人什么呢？
那时皮莱特出来到他们那里，说，你们带什么来控告针对这人？
彼拉多就出来，到他们那里，说：“你们告这人是为什么事呢？”
Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?

他们回答他说，这人若不是作恶的，我们就不把他交给你。
他们回答他说，如果他不是一个犯人，我们就不会把他交给你了。
他们回答说：“这人若不是作恶的，我们就不把他交给你。”
They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.

彼拉多说，你们自己带他去，按着你们的律法审判他吧。因此犹太人对他说，我们杀人是不合法的。
于是皮莱特对他们说，你们带上他，按照你们的法律去审判他吧。因此犹太人对他说，我们处死任何人是不合法的；
彼拉多说：“你们自己带他去，按着你们的律法审问他吧。”犹太人说：“我们没有杀人的权柄。”
Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:

That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.

Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?

耶稣回答他说，这话是你自己说的，还是别人告诉你，关于我的呢？
耶稣回答他，你说这事出于你自己，还是别人告诉你关于我的？
耶稣回答说：“这话是你自己说的，还是别人论我对你说的呢？”
Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?

彼拉多回答：我是一个犹太人吗？你本国的人和祭司长把你交给我。你作了什么事呢？
皮莱特回答，我是一个犹太人吗？你自己的国家和祭司首领把你交给我；你做了什么？
彼拉多说：“我岂是犹太人呢？你本国的人和祭司长把你交给我。你做了什么事呢？”
Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

耶稣回答：我的国不属这世界；我的国若属这世界，我的仆人们必要争战，使我不至于被交给犹太人。但现在我的国不出于这里。
耶稣回答，我的王国不出于这世界；如果我的王国出于这世界，那么我的仆人们就会争战，使我不被交给犹太人；但我的王国不是从这里来的。
耶稣回答说：“我的国不属这世界；我的国若属这世界，我的臣仆必要争战，使我不至于被交给犹太人。只是我的国不属这世界。”
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

彼拉多就对他说，这样，你是王吗？耶稣回答：你说我是王。我为此而生，也为此来到这世界，特为给真理作见证。凡属真理的人就听我的声音。
因此皮莱特对他说，那你是一个王吗？耶稣回答，你说我是一个王。我为此而生，也为这个原因我来进入这世界，使我可以对真理作见证。每一个属真理的都听我的声音。
彼拉多就对他说：“这样，你是王吗？”耶稣回答说：“你说我是王。我为此而生，也为此来到世间，特为给真理作见证。凡属真理的人就听我的话。”
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

彼拉多对他说，什么是真理？说了这话，又出来到犹太人那里，对他们说，我完全查不出他有什么错。

彼拉多说：“真理是什么呢？”耶稣被判死刑（太27·15—31；可15·6—20；路23·13—25）说了这话，又出来到犹太人那里，对他们说：“我查不出他有什么罪来。
Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

但你们有个规矩，在逾越节要我给你们释放一个人，你们要我给你们释放犹太人的王吗？
但你们有个习俗，就是我在逾越节要给你们释放一个人；因此你们要我给你们释放犹太人的王吗？
但你们有个规矩，在逾越节要我给你们释放一个人，你们要我给你们释放犹太人的王吗？”
But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

他们又都喊着说，不要这人，要巴拉巴。这巴拉巴是一个强盗。
于是他们所有人就呼喊，说，不要这人，要巴拉巴斯。现在，巴拉巴斯是一个强盗。
他们又喊着说：“不要这人，要巴拉巴！”这巴拉巴是个强盗。
Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
