But Job answered and said,

惟愿我的忧伤彻底称一称，我一切的灾难放在天平里！
哦，愿我的忧伤被彻底称一下，把我一切的灾难都一起放在天平里！
“惟愿我的烦恼称一称，我一切的灾害放在天平里；
Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together!

现在都比海沙更重，所以我的话被吞灭。
因现在它比海沙更重；因此我的话语都被吞掉了。
现今都比海沙更重，所以我的言语急躁。
For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up.

因全能者的箭射入我身；其毒，我的灵喝尽了；神的惊吓摆阵攻击我。
因全能者的箭在我里面；我的灵喝光了其中的毒；神的恐惧摆列战阵针对我。
因全能者的箭射入我身；其毒，我的灵喝尽了； 神的惊吓摆阵攻击我。
For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.

野驴有草怎能叫唤？牛有料怎能吼叫？
当野驴有草时，他怎么会鸣？或公牛有食他怎么会哞？
野驴有草岂能叫唤？牛有料岂能吼叫？
Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder?

淡而无盐的食物有什么好吃呢？蛋青有什么滋味呢？
淡而无盐的食物有什么好吃？或蛋白里有任何味道吗？
物淡而无盐岂可吃吗？蛋青有什么滋味呢？
Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?

我魂拒绝去碰的物，就是我忧伤的食物。
我的魂拒绝触碰的物，就像我悲伤的肉。
看为可厌的食物，我心不肯挨近。
The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful meat.

惟愿我得着所求的，愿神应允我所切望的！
哦，愿我能得到我要求的；愿神授予我，我渴慕的事！
“惟愿我得着所求的，愿 神赐我所切望的；
Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant me the thing that I long for!

就是神喜悦把我毁灭，松手将我剪除。
愿神喜悦这事，就是把我毁灭；松开他的手，并把我剪除！
就是愿 神把我压碎，伸手将我剪除。
Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!

那时，我却能得安慰，是的，我能在悲伤中刚硬；叫他不要宽恕，因我没有隐藏那位圣者的话。
这样我就能得安慰；是的，我会在悲伤里刚硬；让他不要饶恕；因我没有隐藏那位神圣者的话语。
我因没有违弃那圣者的言语，就仍以此为安慰，在不止息的痛苦中还可踊跃。
Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.

我的力量是什么，使我能盼望？我的结局是什么，使我能拖延性命？
我的强力算什么，我要盼望吗？我的尽头算什么，我要延续我的生命吗？
我有什么气力使我等候？我有什么结局使我忍耐？
What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should prolong my life?

我的力量难道是石头的力量？我的肉体难道是铜？
我的强力是石头的强力吗？我的肉体是铜吗？
我的气力岂是石头的气力？我的肉身岂是铜的呢？
Is my strength the strength of stones? or is my flesh of brass?

我的帮助不在我里面，不是吗？智慧完全从我离开了，不是吗？
我的帮助不在我里面吗？智慧完全从我离开了吗？
在我岂不是毫无帮助吗？智慧岂不是从我心中赶出净尽吗？
Is not my help in me? and is wisdom driven quite from me?

那受苦的人，他的朋友应当向他显出怜悯；他却离弃那全能者的畏惧。
那受折磨的人，他的朋友应该向他显出怜悯；他却离弃那全能者的畏惧。
“那将要灰心、离弃全能者、不敬畏 神的人，他的朋友当以慈爱待他。
To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.

我的弟兄诡诈，好像溪水，又像溪水随流而去。
我的弟兄们欺骗，好像一条小溪，又像溪水的支流随流而去；
我的弟兄诡诈，好像溪水，又像溪水流干的河道。
My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, and as the stream of brooks they pass away;

这河因结冰发黑，有雪藏在其中；
这河因结冰发黑，有雪隐藏在其中；
这河因结冰发黑，有雪藏在其中；
Which are blackish by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid:

天气渐暖他们就消失；当天气炎热，他们便从原处干涸。
渐暖的时候它们就消失；当炎热的时候，它们就从它们的地方被消灭。
天气渐暖就随时消化，日头炎热便从原处干涸。
What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.

他们的路偏离，他们走向无有就死亡。
他们的方法的众路径转到了旁边；他们就走向无有，然后灭亡。
结伴的客旅离弃大道，顺河偏行，到荒野之地死亡。
The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish.

提玛结伴的客旅瞻望；示巴同伙的人等候他们。
提马的部队观看，示巴的团队等着他们。

The troops of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited for them.
- 20
他们失望因所盼望的落了空，他们来到那里便蒙羞。
他们因为盼望而被羞耻；他们来到那里就被羞愧。
他们因失了盼望就抱愧，来到那里便蒙羞。
They were confounded because they had hoped; they came thither, and were ashamed.
- 21
现在你们就是这样，看见我的潦倒便害怕。
因现在你们什么也不是；你们看见我的潦倒，就害怕。
现在你们正是这样，看见惊吓的事便惧怕。
For now ye are nothing; ye see my casting down, and are afraid.

我难道说，请你们供给我，从你们的财物中送礼物给我？
我难道说过；带给我吧？或者，从你们的实物中给我一个奖励吧？
我岂说：请你们供给我，从你们的财物中送礼物给我？
Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of your substance?

难道我说，拯救我脱离敌人的手吗？或救赎我脱离强壮人的手吗？
或者，拯救我脱离敌人的手吧？或着，救赎我脱离大能的手吧？
岂说：拯救我脱离敌人的手吗？救赎我脱离强暴人的手吗？
Or, Deliver me from the enemy's hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?

请指教，我必勒住我的舌头；使我明白在哪一点上有错。
教我，我就管住我的舌头；让我明白我在哪一点上有错。
“请你们教导我，我便不作声；使我明白在何事上有错。
Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.

正确的话力量何其大，但你们责备是责备什么呢？
正确的话语是多么强有力！但你们的争论责备什么呢？
正直的言语力量何其大！但你们责备是责备什么呢？
How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove?

绝望人的谈话既然如风，你们还想要纠正他的话吗？
绝望人的言语既然如风，你们还想要责备他的话语吗？
绝望人的讲论既然如风，你们还想要驳正言语吗？
Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind?

你们想欺压孤儿，为朋友挖坑。
是的，你们想欺压无父者，并且你们给你们的朋友挖坑。
你们想为孤儿拈阄，以朋友当货物。
Yea, ye overwhelm the fatherless, and ye dig a pit for your friend.

现在请你们看看我，我若说谎，对你们来说很明显。
因此，现在知足吧，看看我；如果我说谎，对你们来说很明显。
“现在请你们看看我，我决不当面说谎。
Now therefore be content, look upon me; for it is evident unto you if I lie.

求你们转念，不以此为罪孽；再转念，我的义在其中。
我请求你们回转，不要让这成为罪过；是的，再次回转，我的正义就在其中。
请你们转意，不要不公；请再转意，我的事有理。
Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness is in it.

我的舌中有不义吗？我的口尝不出扭曲的事吗？
我的舌头里有罪过吗？难道我的味觉不能分辨歪曲的事吗？
我的舌上岂有不义吗？我的口里岂不辨奸恶吗？”
Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things?
