又有一天，神的众子来到耶和华的面前，撒但也在其中来到耶和华的面前。
又有一天，当神的众子来到主面前呈现自己，撒但也来到他们当中在主面前呈现自己。
又有一天， 神的众子来侍立在耶和华面前，撒但也来在其中。
Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

耶和华对撒但说，你从哪里来？撒但回答耶和华说，从地中来来回回，在其中走上走下。
主对撒但说，你从哪里来？撒但回答主说，从这地里来来回回，又从其中走上走下。
耶和华问撒但说：“你从哪里来？”撒但回答说：“我从地上走来走去，往返而来。”
And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

耶和华对撒但说，你曾注意到我的仆人约伯没有？地中再没有人像他完全、正直，是个畏惧神和远离罪恶的人。你虽激动我攻击他，无故地毁灭他，他仍然持守他的纯正。
主又对撒但说，你考虑过我的仆人约伯吗？这地里没有人像他，是个完美和正直的人，又是个畏惧神且躲避坏事的人。你虽激动我攻击他，无故地毁灭他，他仍然紧握他的纯全。
耶和华问撒但说：“你曾用心察看我的仆人约伯没有？地上再没有人像他完全正直，敬畏 神，远离恶事。你虽激动我攻击他，无故地毁灭他，他仍然持守他的纯正。”
And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

撒但回答耶和华说，人以皮代皮，情愿舍去一切所有的去保命。
撒但回答主，说，皮为皮，是的，一个人愿意为他的生命交出他拥有的一切。
撒但回答耶和华说：“人以皮代皮，情愿舍去一切所有的，保全性命。
And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

但你现在伸手碰他的骨头和他的肉，他必当面咒骂你。
但你现在伸手，碰他的骨头和他的肉，他就会当你的脸咒诅你。
你且伸手伤他的骨头和他的肉，他必当面弃掉你。”
But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

耶和华对撒但说，看啊，他在你手中，只要存留他的性命。
然后主就对撒但说，看啊，他在你手里；但留下他的生命。
耶和华对撒但说：“他在你手中，只要存留他的性命。”
And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.

于是撒但从耶和华面前退去，击打约伯，使他从脚掌到头顶长毒疮。
于是撒但从主的同在中走了，然后就重击约伯，使他从脚掌到头顶长毒疮。
于是撒但从耶和华面前退去，击打约伯，使他从脚掌到头顶长毒疮。
So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

他就坐在灰中，拿瓦片刮身体。
他就拿一个碎陶片刮自己；并且他坐在灰中。
约伯就坐在炉灰中，拿瓦片刮身体。
And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

他的妻子对他说，你仍然持守你的纯正吗？咒骂神，死了吧。
于是他的妻子对他说，你仍然持守你的纯全？咒诅神，死了吧。
他的妻子对他说：“你仍然持守你的纯正吗？你弃掉 神，死了吧！”
Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

他却对她说，你说话像愚顽的女人一样。什么？难道我们从神手里得福，不也受祸吗？在这一切的事上约伯并不以他的唇犯罪。
他却对她说，你说话像一个愚蠢的女人说话。什么？难道我们从神手里接受好事，我们就不接受坏事？在这一切上约伯都没有用他的唇犯罪。
约伯却对她说：“你说话像愚顽的妇人一样。嗳！难道我们从 神手里得福，不也受祸吗？”在这一切的事上约伯并不以口犯罪。
But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

约伯的三个朋友提幔人以利法、书亚人比勒达、拿玛人琐法听说有这一切的灾祸临到他身上，各人就从自己的地方来，为他哀恸，安慰他。
现在，约伯的三个朋友提幔人以利法兹，书亚人比尔达得，拿玛人琐法听到了来到他身上的这一切的坏事，他们就各人从自己的地方来；因为他们约好了来和他一起哀悼，并安慰他。
约伯的三个朋友，提幔人以利法、书亚人比勒达、拿玛人琐法，听说有这一切的灾祸临到他身上，各人就从本处约会同来，为他悲伤，安慰他。
Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.

他们远远地举目观看，认不出他来，就放声大哭。各人撕裂外袍，把尘土向天扬起来，落在自己的头上。
当他们远远地抬起眼睛，认不出他时，他们就提高他们的声音哭泣；他们各人都撕裂自己的披风，把尘土向天扬起来，洒在他们的头上。
他们远远地举目观看，认不出他来，就放声大哭。各人撕裂外袍，把尘土向天扬起来，落在自己的头上。
And when they lifted up their eyes afar off, and knew him not, they lifted up their voice, and wept; and they rent every one his mantle, and sprinkled dust upon their heads toward heaven.

他们就和他一起七天七夜坐在地上，一个人也不向他说句话，因为他极其忧伤。
于是他们就和他一起七天七夜坐在地面上，没有人向他说一句话；因为他们看到他的忧伤非常大。
他们就同他七天七夜坐在地上，一个人也不向他说句话，因为他极其痛苦。
So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
