耶和华的话临到我说，
主的话来到我这里，说，
耶和华的话临到我说：
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

人子啊，葡萄树比别样树有什么强处？比林中众树里的一枝有什么强处？
人的儿子，葡萄树比其他任何树多了什么，或者是比森林里众树当中的一枝子多了什么？
“人子啊，葡萄树比别样树有什么强处？葡萄枝比众树枝有什么好处？
Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?

其上可以取木料作什么工用吗？或是人可以取来作钉子挂什么器皿吗？
其上有木材可以做什么工作？或者是人们可以在其上钉一颗钉子挂任何器皿？
其上可以取木料做什么工用，可以取来做钉子挂什么器皿吗？
Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?

看啊，已经抛在火中当作柴烧，火既烧了两头，中间也被烧了，还符合工用吗？
看啊，它被抛进火中作燃料；火吞灭了它的两头，它中间也被烧了。它还适合任何工作吗？
看哪，已经抛在火中当作柴烧，火既烧了两头，中间也被烧了，还有益于工用吗？
Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?

看啊，完全的时候尚且不符合什么工用，何况被火烧坏，还能符合什么工用吗？
看啊，当它完全的时候，它都不适合任何工作；那么当它被火吞灭，又被焚烧后，还适合的工作该有多么少？
完全的时候尚且不合乎什么工用，何况被火烧坏，还能合乎什么工用吗？”
Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?

所以，主耶和华如此说，林中众树当中的葡萄树，我怎样使它在火中当柴，也必照样待耶路撒冷的居民。
因此，主神这样说；林中众树当中的葡萄藤，我怎样交给火作燃料，我也要怎样交出耶路撒冷的居民。
所以，主耶和华如此说：“众树以内的葡萄树，我怎样使它在火中当柴，也必照样待耶路撒冷的居民。
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

我必向他们变脸；他们虽从一处的火中出来，别处的火却要吞灭他们。我向他们变脸的时候，你们就知道我是耶和华。
并且我要转脸针对他们；他们会从一把火中出来，另一把火又吞灭了他们；当我转脸针对他们的时候，你们就会知道我是主。
我必向他们变脸；他们虽从火中出来，火却要烧灭他们。我向他们变脸的时候，你们就知道我是耶和华。
And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.

我必使地土荒凉，因为他们行事冒犯我。这是主耶和华说的。
我要使这土地荒凉，因为他们犯了一个侵犯，这是主神说的。
我必使地土荒凉，因为他们行事干犯我。这是主耶和华说的。”
And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD.
