犹大王约雅敬统治的第三年，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒来到耶路撒冷，将城围困。
（但尼尔之书--但尼尔）在犹大王耶和亚金统治的第三年，巴比伦王尼布卡得尼扎来到耶路撒冷，并包围了它。
犹大王约雅敬在位第三年，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒来到耶路撒冷，将城围困。
(The Book of Daniel) In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.

主将犹大王约雅敬，并神家中器皿的几分交付他手。他就把这些器皿带到示拿地，收入他神的家里，放在他神的库中。
然后主把犹大王耶和亚金，和一部分神家中的器皿交在了他的手里；他就带到示拿的土地，放到他的神家里；并且他把器皿放在他的神的宝库中。
主将犹大王约雅敬，并　神殿中器皿的几份交付他手。他就把这器皿带到示拿地，收入他神的庙里，放在他神的库中。
And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

王吩咐太监长亚施毗拿，要他将以色列儿女，并以色列王的种子和首领中带进几个人来，
然后王对太监的师傅阿实皮拿兹讲，要他带以色列的孩子中的几个人，和王的种子，并王子中的几个人来；
王吩咐太监长亚施毗拿，从以色列人的宗室和贵胄中带进几个人来，
And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes;

就是年少没有残疾、相貌俊美、通达各样学问、知识聪明俱备、足能侍立在王宫里的，要教他们迦勒底的学问言语。
他们中的孩子不但没有瑕疵，而且非常受喜爱，并在智慧上娴熟，又在知识上灵巧，理解科学，还像那些有能力站在王的宫殿里的人，然后就可以教他们卡尔迪亚的学问和语言。
就是年少没有残疾、相貌俊美、通达各样学问、知识聪明俱备、足能侍立在王宫里的，要教他们迦勒底的文字言语。
Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.

王派定将自己所用的食物和所饮的酒，每天给他们一分，养他们三年。满了三年，好叫他们在王面前侍立。
并且王把自己的食物和自己喝的酒，每天指定给他们一份；这样养他们三年，结束后，他们就可以站在王面前。
王派定将自己所用的膳和所饮的酒，每日赐他们一份，养他们三年。满了三年，好叫他们在王面前侍立。
And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.

他们中间有犹大儿女：但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利、亚撒利雅。
这些当中属犹大孩子们的是；但尼尔，哈拿尼亚，米沙尔，阿扎瑞亚；
他们中间有犹大族的人：但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利、亚撒利雅。
Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

太监长给他们起名：称但以理为伯提沙撒，称哈拿尼雅为沙得拉，称米沙利为米煞，称亚撒利雅为亚伯尼歌。
太监长给了他们的名；他给但尼尔名是贝尔提沙扎；给哈拿尼亚的是沙得拉克；给米沙尔的是米沙克；给阿扎瑞亚的是阿贝得尼歌。
太监长给他们起名：称但以理为伯提沙撒，称哈拿尼雅为沙得拉，称米沙利为米煞，称亚撒利雅为亚伯尼歌。
Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego.

但以理却立志不以王的食物和王所饮的酒玷污自己，所以求太监长让他不玷污自己。
但是但尼尔在他的心里决定不以王的那份食物和他喝的酒玷污自己；因此他向太监长要求他不可以玷污自己。
但以理却立志不以王的膳和王所饮的酒玷污自己，所以求太监长容他不玷污自己。
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

神使但以理在太监长眼前蒙恩惠，受怜爱。
神使但尼尔被太监长喜欢和温柔爱护。
神使但以理在太监长眼前蒙恩惠，受怜悯。
Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

太监长对但以理说，我畏惧我主国王，他已经派定你们的饮食；如果他见你们的面貌比与你们同类的少年人肌瘦，怎么好呢？这样，你们就使我的头在王那里难保。
然后太监长就对但尼尔说，我畏惧我主-王，他已经指定给你们食物和饮品；为什么要让他见到你们的脸比那些与你们一起的孩子们憔悴？那么你们就会在王那里危及我的头。
太监长对但以理说：“我惧怕我主我王，他已经派定你们的饮食，倘若他见你们的面貌比你们同岁的少年人肌瘦，怎么好呢？这样，你们就使我的头在王那里难保。”
And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.

但以理对太监长所派管理但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利、亚撒利雅的米撒说，
于是但尼尔对太监长派来管理但尼尔，哈拿尼亚，米沙尔，阿扎瑞亚的米尔扎说，
但以理对太监长所派管理但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利、亚撒利雅的委办说：
Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,

求你试试仆人们十天，给我们蔬菜吃，白水喝，
我恳请你，验证你的仆人们十天；让他们就给我们豆类吃，白水喝。
“求你试试仆人们十天，给我们素菜吃，白水喝，
Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.

然后看看我们的面貌和吃王食物的那些少年人的面貌，就照你所看的待仆人吧。
然后在你面前看看我们的面容和吃王的那份食物的孩子们的面容；然后照你看到的待你的仆人们吧。
然后看看我们的面貌和用王膳那少年人的面貌，就照你所看的待仆人吧！”
Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.

他便允准他们这件事，试看他们十天。
他就这样答应了他们这件事，验证了他们十天。
委办便允准他们这件事，试看他们十天。
So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.
15
过了十天，见他们的面貌比用王食物的一切少年人的肉体更加俊美肥胖。
十天结束后，他们的面容比吃王的那份食物的所有孩子显得更加漂亮，也更胖了。
过了十天，见他们的面貌比用王膳的一切少年人更加俊美肥胖。
And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat.

于是米撒撤去派他们用的食物，饮的酒，给他们蔬菜吃。
米尔扎就这样拿走了他们的那份食物，和他们应该喝的酒；并给他们豆类。
于是委办撤去派他们用的膳，饮的酒，给他们素菜吃。
Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

这四个孩子，神在各样学问智慧上给他们聪明知识；但以理又明白各样的异象和梦。
对于这四个孩子，神在所有的学问和智慧上给他们知识和技巧；并且但尼尔在所有的异象和梦上有悟性。
这四个少年人，　神在各样文字学问（学问：原文是智慧）上赐给他们聪明知识；但以理又明白各样的异象和梦兆。
As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

尼布甲尼撒王曾告诉要带进少年人来的日期满了，太监长就把他们带到王面前。
在众日子的尽头，现在就是王说要带他们进来的日子，于是太监长就把他们带到尼布卡得尼扎面前。
尼布甲尼撒王预定带进少年人来的日期满了，太监长就把他们带到王面前。
Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

王与他们谈论，见少年人中无一人能比但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利、亚撒利雅，所以留他们在王面前侍立。
然后王与他们交流；在他们所有人当中没有一个像但尼尔，哈拿尼亚，米沙尔，阿扎瑞亚；因此他们就站在王面前。
王与他们谈论，见少年人中无一人能比但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利、亚撒利雅，所以留他们在王面前侍立。
And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.

王寻问他们一切事，就见他们的智慧聪明比通国的巫师和用法术的胜过十倍。
在王询问他们的所有事上，他们的智慧和悟性，比在他全部领域里的所有魔法师和占星者好十倍。
王考问他们一切事，就见他们的智慧聪明比通国的术士和用法术的胜过十倍。
And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

到居鲁士王元年，但以理还在。
但尼尔甚至一直到塞如斯王第一年都在。

And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.
