犹大王亚哈谢的儿子约阿施二十三年，耶户的儿子约哈斯在撒玛利亚开始统治以色列，统治了十七年。
在犹大王阿哈兹亚的儿子约阿示的第二十三年，耶户的儿子耶和哈兹开始在撒玛利亚里统治以色列，统治了十七年。
犹大王亚哈谢的儿子约阿施二十三年，耶户的儿子约哈斯在撒玛利亚登基作以色列王十七年。
In the three and twentieth year of Joash the son of Ahaziah king of Judah Jehoahaz the son of Jehu began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned seventeen years.

约哈斯行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，效法尼八的儿子耶罗波安使以色列人陷在罪里的那罪，总不离开。
他在主眼里做坏事，效法尼巴特的儿子耶若伯安使以色列陷在罪里的那罪；他没有从中离开。

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.

于是，耶和华的怒气向以色列人发作，将他们屡次交在叙利亚王哈薛和他儿子便哈达的手里。
主的气愤就对以色列点燃，他就把他们交在叙利亚王哈扎尔和他儿子本哈达得的手里，在他们所有的日子里都这样。
于是，耶和华的怒气向以色列人发作，将他们屡次交在亚兰王哈薛和他儿子便哈达的手里。
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael, all their days.

约哈斯恳求耶和华，耶和华就听他，因为见以色列人所受叙利亚王的欺压。
耶和哈兹恳请主，主就听取他；因他见到以色列受的欺压，因为叙利亚王欺压他们。
约哈斯恳求耶和华，耶和华就应允他，因为见以色列人所受亚兰王的欺压。
And Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.

（耶和华给以色列人一位拯救者，使他们脱离叙利亚人的手，于是以色列儿女仍旧住在他们的帐篷里，像之前一样。
（然后主给了以色列一位拯救者，以致他们从叙利亚人的手下出来了；以色列孩子们就住在他们的帐篷里，像之前一样。
耶和华赐给以色列人一位拯救者，使他们脱离亚兰人的手；于是以色列人仍旧安居在家里。
(And the LORD gave Israel a saviour, so that they went out from under the hand of the Syrians: and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents, as beforetime.

然而，他们不离开耶罗波安家使以色列人陷在罪里的那罪，仍然去行，并且在撒玛利亚留下木偶。）

Nevertheless they departed not from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who made Israel sin, but walked therein: and there remained the grove also in Samaria.)

叙利亚王毁灭约哈斯的民，践踏他们如禾场上的尘沙，只给约哈斯留下五十马兵，十辆战车，一万步兵。
他也没有给耶和哈兹留下人民，只留下了五十个骑兵，十辆战车，一万个步兵；因为叙利亚王毁掉了他们，使他们像脱粒场上的尘土。
亚兰王灭绝约哈斯的民，践踏他们如禾场上的尘沙，只给约哈斯留下五十马兵，十辆战车，一万步兵。
Neither did he leave of the people to Jehoahaz but fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen; for the king of Syria had destroyed them, and had made them like the dust by threshing.

约哈斯其余的事，凡他所行的和他的勇力都写在以色列的列王纪上。
耶和哈兹其余的行为，和他所做的一切，并他的大能，它们不都写在以色列众王的编年史书上了吗？
约哈斯其余的事，凡他所行的和他的勇力都写在以色列诸王记上。
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoahaz, and all that he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

约哈斯与他父辈同睡，葬在撒玛利亚。他儿子约阿施接替他统治。
耶和哈兹与他父辈一起睡了；他们就把他葬在撒玛利亚里；然后他儿子约阿示接替他统治。
约哈斯与他列祖同睡，葬在撒玛利亚。他儿子约阿施接续他作王。
And Jehoahaz slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria: and Joash his son reigned in his stead.

犹大王约阿施三十七年，约哈斯的儿子约阿施在撒玛利亚开始统治以色列十六年。
在犹大王约阿示的第三十七年，耶和哈兹的儿子耶和阿示开始在撒玛利亚里统治以色列，统治了十六年。

In the thirty and seventh year of Joash king of Judah began Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned sixteen years.

他行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，不离开尼八的儿子耶罗波安使以色列人陷在罪里的一切罪，仍然去行。
他在主眼里做坏事；并且他没有离开尼巴特的儿子耶若伯安使以色列陷在罪里的一切罪；而是在其中行走。

约阿施其余的事，凡他所行的和他与犹大王亚玛谢争战的勇力，都写在以色列的列王纪上。
约阿示其余的行为，和他做的一切，还有他用来攻打犹大王阿马兹亚的大能，它们不都写在以色列众王的编年史书上了吗？
约阿施其余的事，凡他所行的和他与犹大王亚玛谢争战的勇力，都写在以色列诸王记上。
And the rest of the acts of Joash, and all that he did, and his might wherewith he fought against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

约阿施与他父辈同睡，耶罗波安坐了他的位。约阿施与以色列众王一起葬在撒玛利亚。
约阿示与他父辈一起睡了；然后耶若伯安坐在他的王座上；约阿示葬在撒玛利亚里与以色列众王在一起。
约阿施与他列祖同睡，耶罗波安坐了他的位。约阿施与以色列诸王一同葬在撒玛利亚。
And Joash slept with his fathers; and Jeroboam sat upon his throne: and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.

以利沙得了必死的病，以色列王约阿施下来看他，伏在他脸上哭泣，说，我父啊，我父啊，以色列的战车马兵啊。
现在以利沙得了致死的病。以色列王约阿示下来看他，伏在他脸上哭泣，说，我父亲啊，我父亲，以色列的战车和骑兵。
以利沙得了必死的病，以色列王约阿施下来看他，伏在他脸上哭泣，说：“我父啊！我父啊！以色列的战车马兵啊！”
Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.

以利沙对他说，你取弓箭来。王就取了弓箭来，
以利沙对他说，拿弓和箭来。他就给他拿了弓和箭。
以利沙对他说：“你取弓箭来。”王就取了弓箭来；
And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows.

又对以色列王说，你用手拿弓。王就用手拿弓。以利沙按手在王的手上，
他又对以色列王说，把你的手放在弓上。他把用他的手放在它上面；以利沙就把手放在王的手上。
又对以色列王说：“你用手拿弓。”王就用手拿弓。以利沙按手在王的手上，
And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king's hands.

说，你开朝东的窗户。他就开了。以利沙说，射箭吧。他就射箭。以利沙说，这是耶和华拯救的箭，就是救人脱离叙利亚的箭。因为你必在亚弗攻打叙利亚人，直到把他们消灭光。
然后他说，打开朝东的窗户。他就打开它。然后以利沙说，射击。他就射了。他说，主的拯救之箭，脱离叙利亚的拯救之箭；因为你要在阿菲克里猛击叙利亚人，直到你把他们消灭掉。
说：“你开朝东的窗户。”他就开了。以利沙说：“射箭吧！”他就射箭。以利沙说：“这是耶和华的得胜箭，就是战胜亚兰人的箭；因为你必在亚弗攻打亚兰人，直到灭尽他们。”
And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the LORD's deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.

以利沙又说，取几枝箭来。他就取了来。以利沙说，打地吧。他打了三次，便止住了。
他说，拿些箭来。他就拿来了。他对以色列王说，猛击地面。他猛击了三次，就停了。
以利沙又说：“取几枝箭来。”他就取了来。以利沙说：“打地吧！”他打了三次，便止住了。
And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.
19
那属神的人向他发怒，说，应当击打五六次，就能攻打叙利亚直到消灭光，现在只能打败叙利亚三次。
然后那神的人就向他发怒，说，你应该猛击五六次；这样你就能猛击叙利亚直到你消灭掉它；然而你现在只能猛击叙利亚三次。
神人向他发怒，说：“应当击打五六次，就能攻打亚兰人直到灭尽；现在只能打败亚兰人三次。”
And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.

以利沙死了，人将他埋葬。到了新年，有一群摩押人入侵，
以利沙死了，他们就埋葬了他。在新年来到时，摩阿布人的众营入侵了这土地。

And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.

有人正葬死人，忽然看见一群人，就把死人抛在以利沙的坟墓里，一碰着以利沙的骸骨，死人就复活，站起来了。
这样发生了，当他们正在埋葬一个人，看啊，他们查探到有一营的人；然后他们就把那人抛在以利沙的坟墓里；当这人被放下的时候，碰到了以利沙的骨头，他就复苏了，并双脚站了起来。
有人正葬死人，忽然看见一群人，就把死人抛在以利沙的坟墓里，一碰着以利沙的骸骨，死人就复活，站起来了。
And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

在约哈斯的所有日子，叙利亚王哈薛屡次欺压以色列人。
但在耶和哈兹的所有日子，叙利亚王哈扎尔都欺压以色列。
约哈斯年间，亚兰王哈薛屡次欺压以色列人。
But Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.

耶和华却因与亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的约，仍施恩给以色列人，怜恤他们，尊重他们，不愿意把他们消灭光，尚未赶逐他们离开自己面前。
主施恩待他们，并怜恤他们，又尊重他们，因为与亚伯拉罕，埃撒克，雅克布的他的契约，他不愿意毁灭他们，也还没有让他们离开他的同在。
耶和华却因与亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的约，仍施恩给以色列人，怜恤他们，眷顾他们，不肯灭尽他们，尚未赶逐他们离开自己面前。
And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.

叙利亚王哈薛死了，他儿子便哈达接替他统治。
所以叙利亚王哈扎尔死了；他儿子本哈达得接替他统治。
亚兰王哈薛死了，他儿子便·哈达接续他作王。
So Hazael king of Syria died; and Benhadad his son reigned in his stead.

从前哈薛和约阿施的父亲约哈斯争战，攻取了些城市，现在约哈斯的儿子约阿施三次打败哈薛的儿子便哈达，就收回了以色列的城市。
耶和哈兹的儿子耶和阿示从哈扎尔的儿子本哈达得的手中再次取得了众城市，就是哈扎尔在争战时从他的父亲耶和哈兹手中取得的。约阿示打败了他三次，并且收复了以色列的众城。
从前哈薛和约阿施的父亲约哈斯争战，攻取了些城邑，现在约哈斯的儿子约阿施三次打败哈薛的儿子便哈达，就收回了以色列的城邑。
And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael the cities, which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times did Joash beat him, and recovered the cities of Israel.
